Julie is a graduate from The Braxton School of Business. After working in a law office for 15 years, she decided to pursue her passion of sewing and formed Holly Lane Interiors. Soon she was dedicating herself full time to growing her business.
Julie learned to sew by watching her grandmother sew when she was a child. What better way to honor her grandmother than by naming her business after the street on which her grandmother lived? Today, her grandmother’s sewing machine holds a place of honor in her workroom.
Julie has been a member of the WCAA for twelve years and has served as an officer in the Richmond Chapter, as well as, the Virtual Chapter. She has also been an active volunteer in her community through the Federated Women’s Clubs where she served many offices including President and obtained 16 years of perfect attendance. Julie enjoys worshiping at the church in which she grew up and where she has served as Treasurer for 23 years.
Holly Lane Interiors has been in business for 35 years in Chester, Virginia, and specializes in fabricating shades, pillows, draperies, cushions and light upholstery.
Kelly’s background is in TV production, where she worked for CNBC in the studio and control room for 20 years before deciding it was time to leave her long time career to pursue her window treatment business. Although she has now background in sewing, Kelly was always passionate about decorating and handmade crafts and loves working with fabric. She also really enjoys the business and marketing end of it and her experience is all self taught. She designed her own website and has a good deal of knowledge about social media and marketing.
